David Olson – President
Mr. Olson is the developer and programmer of PFA's software systems.
He co-founded FYSYL Capital in May 2005. He is also a Managing
Director of Breakwater Investment Group, LLC in Newport Beach, CA.
Prior to joining FYSYL Capital and Breakwater Investment Group, he
was Director of Systems and Operations for Denali Advisors, LLC, a
money management firm in San Diego, CA. He researched and developed
software for Denali Advisors' factor based quantitative equity
forecasting model. Mr. Olson was formerly the Director of Systems
Development at Haugen Custom Financial Systems, where he developed
models and software for forecasting equity returns, asset
allocation, and risk control. He has an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in
Information and Computer Science from the University of California
at Irvine. Mr. Olson has 17 years of industry experience.
Jonathan Cheng, CFA, CFP
– Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Cheng is PFA's Chief Financial Officer. He is also the
President and CIO for FYSYL Capital and a Managing Director of
Breakwater Investment Group, LLC. Mr. Cheng was previously a
Portfolio Manager, head of Quantitative Investment Strategies, and a
Research Analyst at Harbor Capital Management Company in Boston,
MA. He established the quantitative product at Harbor Capital and,
working with the marketing team, grew that product to $435 million
in three years. He has an MBA from Northeastern University in
Boston, MA, BS Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont,
CA, is a CFA Charterholder, and is a Certified Financial Planner
licensee. Mr. Cheng has 11 years of industry experience.
Kurt Nicholas Kinney – Advisory Director
Dr. Kinney is serving as a Managing Director for Esprit
Communications, Inc. as well as an adviser to FYSYL Capital and
Pension Fund Analytics. Dr. Kinney previously worked with Ryan ALM,
EQYTY Research and Management Inc., Harbor Capital Management
Company, Swiss Bank Corp., Bank of America, Ameritrust, and
NationsBank in various sales and management positions. He has been
published numerous times on quantitative investment techniques, most
recently in Journal of Pension Plan Investing, January 1998. A
former USAF Captain, Dr. Kinney holds a PhD in Finance from
Northfield University, MBA and a BS from West Virginia University
and has 25 years of industry experience.
R. Gary Call – Advisory Director
Mr. Call is President and Managing Director for Esprit
Communications, Inc. as well as an adviser to FYSYL Capital and
Pension Fund Analytics. He is also currently Managing Director of
CAP Initiatives, LLC. Mr. Call previously worked with Riggs
Investment Management Co., Harbor Capital Management Co., and
Chalmers Exploration. Mr. Call was appointed as Guardian of the
Treasury of the State of New Mexico in 1993, and has previously
served in an advisory capacity with TEXPERS. Mr. Call attended the
University of New Mexico and has 19 years of industry experience. |
